February 1st brought about the official hand over of the Horizon Mobile Home Park to it’s new owner/managers, GGC Management Corp. We believe in building a healthy community that everyone feels at ease living in. One of the first changes will be the formalization of a set of tenant agreements for our residents. This is being done for several reasons but among them is that this will create more stability for trailer owners and renters. It will also lay out a set of standards that will help improve the state of the community and ensure proper upkeep.
Since the community is no longer associated with the Horizon Inn we have also changed the name to Klondike Gateway. The Klondike part is a return to the name that many people in Valleyview remember. Gateway is both a tip of the hat to it’s location along highway 43 and our belief that owning a mobile home is a step that opens the path to upward mobility. First and foremost it’s a practical change but we hope it will be one of the many obvious changes that residents will see in the coming months and years.
We look forward to working with you to make this an affordable and quality neighbourhood to live in.
